Almost ready

So I’m almost ready to release the first stage of Gentoo/FreeBSD 6.0.
Why “almost”? Well I was able to get a working stage that can boot, but that is not releasable as many things still links against the old libraries’ names from original FreeBSD 6.0, while I need them to link against the “good ones”.
Also there’s a quite big problem with kernel, as it builds with -Werror and our compiler throws a few more warnings. The way to solve this is by using “make WERROR= NO_WERROR=” while building the kernel, but it’s not yet enough.

Also, I have to fix a few things in the guide as there are some commands which changed, and I also want to add also a way to partition the system with sysinstall without using command line tools, and without rebooting three times to get the partitions done.

The work on baselayout is proceeding, too. I broke farragut as I tried a dirt “move whatever there is and just make use of it”, but that is not a problem as I should be able to fix it in a bit.. most of the changes are now already in the bsd-porting-2 branch of baselayout.

For today, I’m probably not going to work hard on Gentoo/FreeBSD, mostly because I need to take some hours off or I’d be driven crazy. Last night I had to go sleeping before midnight, something quite strange for me ๐Ÿ˜›
Well ok, then I got up again at 2am and I read “The Wastelands” till 5am, but that does not count ๐Ÿ˜‰ Actually, I liked that book quite a bit. Stephen King is good at writing. Now I just need to find and buy the other four books of the series.
